The RoboHELP TipList is probably the largest collection of tips, tricks, and tutorials to enhance WinHelp and HTML-based Help systems on the Internet. In 1997 a student wrote me an email question about a particular problem she was experiencing with RoboHELP. Rather than answering the question in a single email message, I wondered how many others were having the same problem, so I decided to publish the answer in the form of an online tutorial, and thus began the RoboHELP TipList. Since then the RoboHELP TipList has presented innovative ways to enhance WinHelp and HTML-based Help systems. The monthly tips use macros, shortcuts, and workarounds to improve the usability and management of Help files, topics, and projects. Sometimes the featured tip cannot be accomplished in RoboHELP at all. In which case, we explore alternative methods using the Help Workshop (HHW.EXE or HCW.EXE), or by using Microsoft Word features, or using a little JavaScript. The tips are designed for all levels of Help authors, but have a leaning toward Intermediate and Advanced users.
Thanks for you support and ideas,
