Headers and footers are sections within an HTML page used to add text, graphics, date fields, and other HTML objects to the upper and/or lower areas of HTML topics. You normally add headers and footers to Topic Templates, but you can add headers and footers on individual topics as well.
Headers and Footers are supported in WebHelp, HTML Help, JavaHelp, and Oracle Help systems.
Headers and Footers can save you time when repetitive information must be added to many Help topics. For example, all the topics this month contain two footer elements: a JavaScript print button and a copyright message. This was achieved by adding the footer elements to a Topic Template and applying the template to each topic.
When used with Topic Templates, headers and footers can be applied to every topic in the project in a matter of minutes.
